Club, school, Sunday league, or a first season in shin pads two sizes too big. Soccer is the most-played sport on this list and the one where the photo is most often taken from too far away — which is the first thing our photo check looks at.
The soccer card renders four columns: GP, G, A and MOTM. Man of the match is included because for most amateur players it is a truer record of a season than a goal tally — defenders and keepers deserve a stat line too, and a card that only counts goals quietly says they do not.

Distance is the recurring failure. Soccer is played on the largest field of any sport here and parents shoot from the touchline, so the subject often lands under 400 pixels tall — below what we can cut out and print at card resolution. Before you upload, crop to the player on your phone and check they still fill the frame. If they turn to mush when you crop, that photo will not make a good card, and we would rather say so than sell you a soft one.
